Moving the FCU and battery to inside your grip is a worth while mod for anyone running a PolarStar pr-15 fusion engine. It does involve a bit on soldering knowledge, and as with most mods, you run the risk of breaking your gun.

Polar Star pr-15 Fire Control Unit (FCU)
The Fire Control Unit is the brains of the polarstar fusion engine. It controls how fast the solenoids cycle, how much air is release per shot, how long the nozzle is held to the rear, how far the nozzle travels etc.. Many individual variables will affect tuning your FCU, because of this FCU settings will be largely unique to the individual. I hope to provide you with some information that will make the process a bit easier.

Gear Review: ENO Hammock and tarp
I have been looking for a hammock to take hiking when I am under the tree line. I wanted to replace my Bivy sack with something that offered a bit more airflow, but still kept me dry. For Xmas this year I was surprised with the ENO hammock and tarp. Over new years I got to try it out.

PR-15 Fusion Engine teardown
I finally got my hands on a Polar Star PR-15 fusion engine. I order the drop in kit, remote line, and tank from amped airsoft. They seem to be jumping on the polar star train and I dont blame them, after a single month of playing with this thing I am hooked. I will do a follow up post with performance stats and some tips / tricks, but I thought the first post we should have a look at how the kit is built and how it works.

Gear Review: Propper A-TACS combat shirt
TF75 is making the switch over to A-TACS as our primary uniform. Instead of the standard military top we decided to run the new Propper A-TACS combat shirt. You can pick them up for around 65$ and I was lucky enough to get one from the first shipment.

WE 1911a1 teardown
A few weekends ago I got a crazy idea that I would two tone my WE 1911a1 to black and coyote so it would better match my other gear. Since I was stripping the gun any ways I decided to snap some photos. This is not going to be a teardown how to, more like a collection of images for anyone that needs a reference.

Gear Mods: Brownells Aluma-Hyde II
Over the weekend I decided to two tone my WE 1911a1 to a black and tan setup. I choose the Brownells coyote Aluma-Hyde II spray based paint because of its close match to magpul flat dark earth. This is the first of two posts .. the second will be a detailed look at the guns internals. In this post I will discuss my experience with the paint.
